Had the following conversation on a forum (about Transport Tycoon and related games, oddly enough) yesterday. I think my little retort was somewhat humourous…

Oh that’s right, because Bush ordered the gassing of thousands of Amish after one of them tried to assasinate him, spent a decade in a war with Canada over a strip of land less than a mile wide, then tried to anexxe Mexico for their oil, before slaughtering thousands of Floridans, driving the rest off their land and draining the everglades. He also periodically rounded up the menfolk from entire towns in the mid-west and had them shot and buried in mass graves the arizona desert. Yep. Bush did all these things, so he’s as bad as Saddam. What a complete bastard.

Moral equivalence between saddam and bush? It has to be the new “bad as Hitler” argument, because it’s surely a sign of a losing side when they say “Yeah, well, he’s just as bad!”, isn’t it?
Lets not forget where Saddam got most of weapons, equipment and chemicals from in order to do what he did.
