Just a coment on an entry you made. Yes, Germany was entirely responsible for starting WW1. This was quite deliberate. In fact, after the Serbs refused to rise to their extreme provocations to get this started, they just invaded anyway. The general plan was to expand Germany proper, particularly but not exclusively, to the east. (Paul Johnson, A History of the Twentieth Century)
